The Phaistos Disc is a fired clay disc discovered in 1908 by Italian archaeologist Luigi Pernier at the Minoan palace of Phaistos on Crete. Dating to approximately 1700-1600 BCE (Middle to Late Minoan period), the disc bears 241 stamped symbols arranged in a spiral pattern on both sides, forming an undeciphered script. It remains one of the most enigmatic archaeological artifacts of the Minoan civilization.
