In January 1605, Miguel de Cervantes published "El ingenioso hidalgo don Quixote de la Mancha" in Madrid through publisher Francisco de Robles and printer Juan de la Cuesta. The novel tells the story of an aging nobleman obsessed with chivalric romances who becomes a knight-errant, accompanied by his squire Sancho Panza. The book achieved immediate commercial success with multiple editions in 1605, followed by a second part in 1615.
