Human Evolution

On December 29, 1982, the Texas Department of Transportation discovered skeletal remains of a prehistoric woman at the Wilson-Leonard Brushy Creek Site in Cedar Park, Texas. Carbon dating and stratigraphic analysis indicate the remains are approximately 10,000 to 13,000 years old. The skeleton belongs to a female who stood 5 feet 3 inches tall and was approximately eighteen to thirty years old at death. The remains represent one of the oldest and most complete human skeletons found in North America.
